Journal Today Saturday a.m.1/19
Not waking up as Sunshine Suzie these days. Go through usual motions. Coffee, meds, straighten up the place, sit quietly for a while gathering my thoughts.
Today my 1st prayerful thought was is there anyone that I can contact for support? I noticed my morning scripture Ps.23:1-6! POW! (Prayer Opens the Word.) GOD is my best support.
The phone rang once. I saw it was an old friend, thought she must've heard of our present circumstances. No, her first words... "No that call was a mistake" I asked how she was. Very brief. She obviously knew nothing of our journey. We hung up.
Back to the scripture. Next verse popped up on the phone. Romans 8:24 "For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?" WOW! (WONDER OF THE WORD) So much to ponder: God is unseen, but He is real. We can hear His voice. Our hope is unseen, but it is real based on His eternal promises. HOW NOW? (His message to me now) PS.23:1-6 I am NOT alone. JESUS is my shepherd. HE is my provider. HE is my peace, my path, my present help, my protection. HE answers me with His voice. HE abides within. Rom.8:24 Guarantees my future hope. I have the Ultimate Support. BOW (Contemplation,communication,surrender)
